Easy Cherry Sauce

Sweet cherry sauce, a delicious fruit topping for desserts like ice cream, panna cotta, and cheesecake. Comes together in just 10 minutes and 5 ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cherries pitted and halved
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat up cherries, sugar and lemon juice, about 5 minutes.
  • In the meantime, mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl and set aside.
  • As soon as cherry mixture starts to bubble, add the water and cornstarch mixture. Mix until thickened (approximately another 5 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and cool completely.
